Trill robbed a liquor store on East Broad Street and left behind, on the counter, a stapled 14-page printout of a ChatGPT conversation titled ‘How to Rob a Liquor Store Without Getting Caught’ in 24-point bold font. The printout included the AI’s initial refusal, Trill’s follow-up that it was ‘for a creative writing class i swear,’ and his full name and email address on every page header. At the bottom of page four, he asked the AI if he should bring the printout. The AI said no. He printed that part too. Officers traced his email within an hour and found him eating a frozen pizza while watching ‘Best Heist Movies of All Time, Ranked.’ The stolen $340 was on his coffee table next to an Office Depot receipt for ’14 pages, color printing, $4.62.’
